Clarence "Bobby" Pavlovec

Clarence “Bobby” Pavlovec, age 68, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, died on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the Winneshiek Medical Center, in Decorah, Iowa, following a sudden illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, Iowa with Rev. David Beckman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday morning until 10:00 a.m. at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, Chekal Chapel, in Fort Atkinson, Iowa. There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a scripture service at 5:00 p.m. Clarence “Bobby” Robert Pavlovec was born in Fort Atkinson, Iowa, the son of James and Mary Ann (Riha) Pavlovec. Bobby graduated from high school in Fort Atkinson. He worked for Culligan Soft water in West Union and worked for several road construction crews for many years. Bobby was very devoted to his mother, and took care of her for many years. Bobby enjoyed doing things with his family and especially enjoyed his nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Forester’s. Bobby enjoyed going for drives, hunting, watching TV and talking on his CB radio. Bobby’s survivors include his two sisters: Mary Ann Blong, Fort Atkinson, Iowa and Rita Holthaus, Ossian, IA. Four brothers: Arthur (Bernice) Pavlovec, Fort Atkinson, IA; James Pavlovec, Spillville, IA; George (Pat) Pavlovec, Decorah, IA; and Paul (Virginia) Pavlovec, Calmar, IA. Two sisters-in-law: Grace Pavlovec and Ruth Pavlovec, both Fort Atkinson, IA and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents: Wendel and Anna Riha; and two brothers: Dan Pavlovec in 1991 and Victor on March 31, 2006. Two brothers-in-law: Charles Blong and Joe Holthaus.
