Charles Wilhelm

     Charles Wilhelm, age 82, of Decorah, IA, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Hawkeye Care Center, in Cresco, IA.    Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Phil Gibbs presiding. Burial will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton, Iowa.      Friends may call after 9:30 a.m., at the church on Friday morning.      Memorials in memory of Charles may be sent to his sister: Virginia Homewood, 2449 Teresa Drive S.W., Cedar Rapids, IA, 52404.      Charles is survived by his sister: Virginia Homewood, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Mary Bentley, Cedar Rapids, IA, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.      Charles was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Wilhelm in 1963 and Catherine (Wichman) Wilhelm in 1981. Five sisters: Betty (Ed) Troxel, Florence (Phil) Blong, Adeline (Arnold) Sobolik, Alma (Leo) Baum, and Dorothy Wilhelm as a child. One brother: Art (Sadie) Wilhelm. Special friend: Linda Winden.
