Celia Jarosh, age 98, of Spillville died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Evans Memorial Nursing Home in Cresco IA. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday April 6th 2013 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville Iowa, with the Rev. Donald Hawes presiding. Burial of ashes in the church cemetery. There will be visitation 1 hour before services at the church only. Cecelia “Celia”(Kubik) Jarosh, was born on July 12, 1914, the daughter of Peter and Elanore (Kostka) Kubik near Protivin, Iowa. Celia attended Catholic School in Protivin and was united in marriage to Arthur Jarosh on July 28, 1936, at the Assumption Catholic Church in Little Turkey, Iowa. To this union, five children were born: Wayne, Patricia, Kenneth, Dean and Daniel. Celia and Arthur farmed in the Spillville area all of their married lives. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, friends, gardening, quilting and embroidering. Celia’s survivors include her daughter: Patricia Jarosh, Santa Monica, CA. Three sons: Wayne (Barbara) Jarosh, Nevada City, CA; Kenneth (Colleen) Jarosh, Calmar, IA; Dean (Sharon) Jarosh, Silver City, NM, along with twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Celia was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur. One son: Daniel Jarosh. Her parents: Peter and Elanore (Kostka) Kubik. Her siblings: Clarence, Mary, Tillie and Peter.
