Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson age 62, of Decorah, IA died on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Whalen Cabin - Phelps Park in Decorah, IA. Food and drinks will be provided. Memorials can be sent to: 601 S. Beaumont Rd, Apt 2001, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821 Brian Keith (Teddy) Thompson was born on July 20, 1959 to Priscilla (Sherburne) and Dale Thompson in Decorah, Iowa. He graduated from Decorah High School in 1978. He married Debra Bugenhagen on August 23, 1980. They had three children born to this union; Theresa, Amy and Nicholas. They later divorced. He worked at Wisconsin Dairies, McNeilus, and was a devoted welder. Brian enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a devoted Denver Bronco, Iowa State Cyclone, and Nascar fan. He loved being a father and especially a grandpa. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. He would light off fireworks whenever his grandchildren were around. Brian is survived by his children; Theresa Moris, Prairie du Chien, WI, Amy (Brian) Konichek, DeForest, WI, and Nicholas Thompson, Milwaukee, WI; his grandchildren: Amber Headington, Carter, Mason, Ashlyn Moris, Bentley and Ryder Thompson; Brother Joel (Janet) Thompson, Sister-in-Law Dawn (Lester) Erickson, Uncle Milton Sherburne; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved animal companion Jack. Brian is preceded in death by his parents Priscilla and Dale Thompson; infant son Keith Thompson; his brother Davis Thompson; his grandparents Clara and Leonard Thompson and Fannie and Merton Sherburne; and his animal companions Pistol Pete and Allie.
