Beverly was born to Louis and Elma Beer on January 11, 1943, at the Decorah Hospital.

Beverly was a lifelong member of St. Francis DeSales Parish where she was baptized, received her First Holy Communion, was confirmed, and married. She was a member of the Rosary Society serving various offices. She went to first grade in Calmar and completed the rest of her school years at DeSales Catholic School where she graduated in 1960. While in high school she was a clerk at Wessel Variety Store, later Horsfall Variety. Beverly also helped in the kitchen at De Sales as needed, worked with preschoolers for twenty-two years, and worked as a tour guide at Montauk Historic Site in Clermont for thirty years.

On April 3, 1961, Beverly married Alphonse Gossling. They had six children, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Spending time with family was always a great joy for Beverly.

She enjoyed the Fun and Craft Club, family gatherings, baking raised donuts, making desserts, and the great people in her card clubs. Beverly also enjoyed travel, especially bus trips to Branson, Missouri, at Christmastime.

Beverly is survived by her children Terry (Karla) of West Union, Kathy (Don) Hageman of Ossian, Lyle of Ossian, Mark (Kim) of Decorah, Brian (Jayna) of Johnston, and Kari (Kurt) Straube of Calmar. She also is survived by ten grandchildren: Jonathan Gossling, Anthony Gossling (friend Alyssa Rostad); Scott (Kelsey) Hageman, Paul Hageman; Courtney (Sam) Hogenson, Monica (Jacob) Bentley, Jacob Gossling (friend Jordyn Foster); Grant Gossling, Anna Gossling, and Evan Gossling; and great-grandchildren Silas and Peter Hogenson and Abigail Hageman. She is also survived by her in-laws Norbert (Darlene) Gossling of New Hampton and Sister Maryam Gossling, FSPA, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse, parents Louis and Elma Beer; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Augusta Gossling; sisters-in-law Marie (Frank) Tieskoetter, Teresa (Alvin) Myers, Rita (Bob) Gebel; and brother-in-law Martin (Margaret) Gossling.
