Betty (Mrs. Parnell) Sexton

Betty Lou Sexton, (Mrs. Parnell Sexton) age 86, of Burr Oak, IA, died on Monday, September 14, 2015, at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah, IA. A private family service will be held. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA. Betty is survived by her two daughters: Stella (Dave) Mathieu, Lakeville, MN, and Sheila Sexton, Burr Oak, IA. Three sons: Steve (Ellie) Sexton, Burr Oak, IA, Sam Sexton, Decorah, IA, and Scott Sexton, Burr Oak, IA. Six grandchildren: Sarah and Sean Mathieu, Shane, Stacia and Steven Sexton, and Megan Hageman. Betty is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents: John and Stella (Jarosh) Koliha. Her husband: Parnell Sexton on October 6, 1998. One sister: Geraldine (Charles) Warner. Two brothers: Richard (Betty Ann) Koliha and Robert (Wanda) Koliha.
