     Arnie Fortman, age 57, of Decorah, IA, died on Monday, April 28, 2014, in Dubuque, Iowa, from injuries he suffered from an unfortunate truck roll-over accident in a rock quarry.        Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2014, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Phil Gibbs presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Decorah, IA.        Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Schluter Balik Funeral Home  and also on Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church.        Arnie is survived by his wife: Janet Fortman, Decorah, IA. Four children: Angie (Jesse) Storck, Adel, IA; Kurt (Jennifer) Fortman, Marquette, IA; Amy (Derek) Taylor, Fort Atkinson, IA; and Kristen Fortman, Overland Park, KS. Seven grandchildren: Nicole, Kelli & Daniel Storck, Justin & Logan Fortman, Evan & Owen Taylor. His parents: Omer and Lois Fortman, Manchester, IA. Four siblings: Donna (Calvin) Gibbs, Hopkinton, IA; Karen (Gary) Kruse, Dyersville, IA; Kenny (Vicki) Fortman, Manchester, IA; and Roger Fortman, Manchester, IA. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Jim (Jeanette) Mensen, Decorah, IA; Agnes (Don) Burns, Davenport, IA; Carolyn (Allen) Wilson, Manchester, IA; Joyce (Ron) Wendt, Wyoming, IA; Donna (Bill) Thomson, Manchester, IA; Sandy (Bob) Kass, Epworth, IA; Bill (Lisa) Mensen, Manchester, IA; Diane (Mike) Even, Worthington, IA; Teresa Mensen, Manchester, IA; and Ruth (Al) Boge, Manchester, IA, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.      Arnie was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ambrose and Mary Ann (Engelken) Mensen.
