Antoinette H. O. Webb, age 95, of Decorah, IA, died Sunday morning, March 10, 2013 at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah, IA, surrounding by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, with Rev. Mark Kvale officiating. Burial will be in Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, one half hour before the service, at the church. Antoinette H. O. (Bakke) Good Webb was born on August 15, 1917 in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Erick and Elizabeth (Soland) Bakke. She attended country school and then graduated from Decorah High School with the Class of 1935. She attended Luther College for two years and then the Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago, Illinois where she received her nursing degree. She was a nurse at Suburban Cook County T.B. Sanatorium in Hinsdale, IL, where she retired. Antoinette was united in marriage to William D. Good on August 23, 1941 at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Decorah. This union was blessed with three children: Eloise, Nancy and Richard. They lived in Decorah, Chatham, Illinois, Des Moines, Iowa and then Hinsdale, Illinois. William died in 1965. She was then united in marriage to Wesley L. Webb on July 3, 1984 in Oak Brook, Illinois. They later moved to Decorah. Wesley died in 1993. Antoinette always maintained her membership at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church. She also was the chairperson for the Self-help for Hard of Hearing Committee (now called Hearing Association of America) in Hinsdale. She was a consummate baker and loved to share her baked goods with those in need and friends. She also belonged to Oneota Golf and Country Club where she played bridge and Wes played golf. Antoinette moved to the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah in August 2011. She died there Sunday morning, March 10, 2013 at age 95. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; and her sister, Joyce Johnson. Antoinette is survived by her three children: Eloise (Robert) Mason of Hilton Head Island, SC, Nancy (Greg) Goluska of Burr Ridge, IL and Richard (Cecelia) Good of Delmont, PA; five grandchildren: Heather Mason (Robert) McAfee, Robert (Emily) Mason, Kimberly Nischik (Ben) Prohaska, Katie Nischik (Brian) Johnson, Benjamin Goluska; eight great – grandchildren: Katelyn McAfee, Mason McAfee, Tyler McAfee, William Johnson, Chloe Prohaska, Noah Prohaska, William Mason, Evelyn Mason; a brother-in-law, Charles Good of Hutchinson, KS; and by a special friend, Ruby Helgerson of Decorah.
