Allen Krumme

Allen Krumme age 77 of Decorah, IA passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah. A graveside service will be held at the Preston Veterans Cemetery in Minnesota on November 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Born Feb. 10, 1947, in Waukon, Iowa, Mr. Krumme served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1974, including a year in Vietnam during the war. He earned an Army Commendation Medal and Air Medal, among other awards. Mr. Krumme spent the bulk of his career working at 3M in St. Paul, Minn., working there more than 20 years and retiring in 2008 as a supply chain analyst. In his retirement, Mr. Krumme enjoyed spending time with his wife, Peggie Krumme, who preceded him in death in December 2020. They enjoyed working on their home and acreage in Decorah, Iowa. Mr. Krumme also enjoyed many Midwest road trips in his bright yellow Ford F150 pickup, which he pampered and took great pride in driving. Mr. Krumme loved nature and birds, spending as much time outdoors as possible.
