Alan Kovarik

Alan Kovarik, age 59, of Spillville, IA. died Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at his home after a short illness. There will not be any formal funeral service. There will be a private family service at a later date. Alan V. Kovarik was born January 7, 1960 in Decorah, IA to Victor and Evelyn (Macal) Kovarik. He grew up in Spillville, IA where he attended St. Wenceslaus School and graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 1978. Alan moved to California for several years working in construction. He then returned to Iowa to be closer to his family. Alan always enjoyed tinkering with cars and electronics. Alan is survived by his son: Nicholas (Candace) Kovarik Sisters: Patricia (Bob) Skemp, Hazel Green, WI, Faith (Jerry) Lacey, Spillville, IA, Amy (Reg) Bakken, Decorah, IA and Nadine (Jeff) Wreghitt, Hampton, IA. Brothers: Steve (Karen) Kovarik, Cambridge, IA and William (Pam) Kovarik, Calmar, IA. and many nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents: Victor and Evelyn (Macal) Kovarik; Brother: Michael Kovarik.
