Adella Kuhn, age 88, of Spillville, IA died on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Gundersen Health Systems in LaCrosse WI.Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville with Father Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Visitation will be on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville and also after 9:30 a.m. at the Church on Tuesday morning. There will be a rosary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday during the visitation.Adella Cecelia (Shindelar) Kuhn was born on September 14, 1929 the daughter of Matthias “Mike” and Eleanora (Infeld) Shindelar near Spillville, IA. She attended country school through eighth grade. Adella married Francis Kuhn on June 15, 1949 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, IA. Together they had four children: David, Susan, Mary and Judy. Adella’s wonderful life with her husband Francis was filled with joy, laughter, dancing and most of all love. She enjoyed playing bingo, making rosaries, shopping, embroidering and feeding the birds. She was very proud to have been a tour guide at the Bily Clocks for over thirty years. Adella especially treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her green eyes sparkled when seeing them all.Adella is survived by her children: David (Lora) Kuhn, Anamosa, IA; Susan Rusk, Afton, IA; Mary (Gary) Lukes, Decorah, IA and Judy Borsheim, Decorah, IA. Grandchildren: Kyle (Vanessa) Kuhn, Kevin Kuhn, Keegan (Rachael) Kuhn, Jessica (Andy) Zaugg, Robb Rusk, Leah (Doug) Olson, Kara (Mike) Miner, Heather (Drew) Batterson and Rory (Lynnette) Borsheim. Great grandchildren: Taylor, Lauren and Ethan Zaugg, Gavin and Ella Smith, Danica and Emma Olson, Maxwel, Teagan and Marrah Miner, Kyleigh and Braedyn Batterson, Dahlynne and Blake Borsheim and Wesley Kuhn. Brothers: Alvin (Edith) Shindelar, Spillville, IA and Richard (Darlene) Shindelar, Protivin, IA. Sister: Martha (Charles) Klimesh, Spillville, IA. Sister-in-law: Geraldine Borgstahl, Dubuque, IA. Brother-in-law: Joseph (Sharon) Kuhn, Cedar Rapids, IA along with many nieces and nephews.Adella was preceded in death by her husband: Francis Kuhn on January 20, 2002. Parents: Matthias and Eleanora (Infeld) Shindelar. Brother: August Shindelar. Sister: Helen Shindelar in infancy. Sons-in-law: Rick Rusk and Robert Borsheim. Father and mother-in-law: Frank and Otilla (Soukup) Kuhn. Sisters-in-law: Lucille (John) Novotny and Margery (Leo) Morrissey. Brothers-in-law: Clarence (Pauline) Kuhn and Gerald Borgstahl.
